Buxom Amplified Mascara

Buxom Amplified Mascara.  Quick review.  These are the pictures...I got this at Sephora for free...I think.  Hahah I can't remember.  But I really like this mascara.  This whole brush changing thing confuses me...I don't understand how it works!  It makes me feel like a child to say this, but it's like magic! Sadly, I haven't really figured out the trick to get a certain brush when I want it.  I like either of the brushes, so it doesn't matter too much.

The mascara itsself is really good!  I don't really have problem with clumping ( That I have found so far), which usually happens to me on my left eye for some reason.  No real flaking that I can tell either -- I will make sure to keep better track.  AND what I realy love about it-- I get great looking lashes without really any effort. Some mascaras you ahve to use a brush then separate with a comb...etc etc etc.  But not this!  I keep it in my purse because I am usually running late in the mornings and do this in the car once I get to work.  It's perfect for that because I know that I am able to just apply and not have to worry about mistakes!  The brush is really easy to control and not too big so I never really make a mess on my eye with it.
I really like it better than Benefit They're Real.  I think it gives me for volume and length and doesn't clump.

So far, this has been one of my favorite mascaras I've used.

I'm going to go with a score of:
9/10

I am not sure the price because I got it for free...but it's prob more than I would like to spend on a mascara for everyday.  But we will see.

Make Up Brush Storage

I have quite a few make up brushes.  I have some that are pretty short!  For these, I wanted to get a new container because they would get lost in the container I had them in and I was also running out of room.  ( haha a good problem to have!).  The American Cancer Society has "Discovery Shops" that sell clothing and other items (Kind of like a Goodwill) but the money goes towards Cancer research/etc.  It's a win win!  I found this little mini vase/creamer thing.  (It would be really cute as a cream holder...but I don't have my own place yet...) ANYWAY! I went into the shop looking for things, especially something for my brushes.  And there it was.  I was so happy.  I think it was only $7 dollars or something.  I love it!  It's perfect for my shorter brushes and it also looks super cute- much better than the pink plastic cup I have my other brushes in.  I have been looking or something else for my taller brushes, but haven't been lucky-- Yet.

But ya, this is just an idea for people looking for storage solutions when it comes to make up brushes.  Cute and functional, I am able to have my brushes at arms reach!

N.Y.C High Definition Mascara

I got this mascara as a birthday present from my sister.  I tried it and had to review right away when I got back from out of town.

I totally love the cute bright packaging!  It makes it super easy to find in my make up stash - mascaras tend to have a darker color tub and it always gets lost in my bag!  Not this tube, that would be like losing a highlighter.  Now the brush:
As you can see, the wand is pretty slim and it is a plastic-y wand.  I like these because they provide me with great separation of my eyelashes, which seem like all the want to do is hang out in one big group...*sigh*.

And now- The Results!

(Before: I only have liquid eyeliner on..no mascara)
(After: HOLY MOLY! look at the length!)

I was super surprised by this mascara!  I literally said "wow" out loud after seeing the results.  I chose my left eye because my eyelashes are shorter on that eye, so I am able to see what this can do on my shorter lashes...poor left eye.  I was really impressed.  I didn't even spend time with a lash brush or anything because I was out of town and didn't have all the tools of the trade with me, but I just couldn't wait to try my new mascara!  Also note, I didn't curl my lashes before either.  I am going to try to pair this with a voluminous mascara and see what results I have.
Thanks Sister!

e.l.f. Studio High Definition Powder Review

(Image from their website)

I got this powder from Target awhile ago.  I use it practically everyday as a setting powder.  True, it looks like it is going to turn your face into chalk.  But it only takes a little bit to finish your make up with a soft focus look!  It keeps my shine in control during the day.  There is something I have to warn about though: DO NOT take the sticker off for the sifter until you get low on this product.  I read many reviews warning that taking the sticker off lets out too much of the product.  Make sure to poke holes in the sticker (I used a tac).  That way you get the right amount of product.  I love this! I am almost out and will definitely buy again.  It lasts a long time because you only need a little.

I can't recommend this product enough!
